Sharjah Free Zone — 60,000 m² Tiling Installation

Scope of works

• Supply and installation of large-format porcelain and natural-stone tiling across approximately 60,000 m² of commercial floor area
• Substrate preparation, screeding and level checks to achieve a flat, true surface ready for tenant fit-outs
• Setting-out and dry-laying to control grout-line alignment and the wood-plank running-bond pattern shown in the unit
• Cutting, edge trims and threshold transitions between retail, showroom and back-of-house zones
• Grouting, sealing and cleaning of natural-stone and porcelain surfaces
• Phased handover of completed units to keep the wider free-zone program on schedule

Design & features

• Warm wood-effect plank tiling laid in a running-bond pattern for a natural, inviting floor across the unit
• Large-format tiles with tight, consistent grout lines that read as a clean, continuous surface
• A level, true floor plane that carries cleanly under display shelving, seating and the curtained changing area

The challenge

Tiling 60,000 m² across many separate commercial units demanded a consistent level, alignment and finish at scale — all delivered on a phased schedule without holding up the wider free-zone tenant program.

Our solution

Al-Suhool deployed dedicated in-house tiling crews working unit by unit, with rigorous setting-out, substrate leveling and QA/QC checks at each stage, and phased handovers that kept supply and installation moving in step with the overall program.

The outcome

The full 60,000 m² was tiled to a uniform, hard-wearing standard and handed over in 2022, giving Sharjah Free Zone tenants a consistent, fit-out-ready floor finish across every unit.
